After two oval races Long Beach is a challenge. The teams
have to change most suspension components and ready the cars
for a challenging street course.

Joe Huffaker
and his team brought their new Trans-Am Ford Mustang to
Long Beach for its first race. The car qualified on the pole
but was involved in a first-lap incident. Paul Gentilozzi
won the race. I talked to him about the series and took some

Tires are
always a big story and I think Goodyear is not likely to stay
competitive with Firestone and may even drop out of the CART
series. I'll tell you why I think that. Click

Tony Cicale
engineered Jacques Villeneuve when he won the CART championship
in 1995. Tony is back now assisting Team Green. I talked to Tony
and he had some very interesting things to say about Jacques

Juan Montoya,
a CART rookie from Bogota, Columbia won the race and showed both
strength and shyness in the press conferences. I'll tell you
