2003 Brickyard Test No. 1
A few NASCAR Winston Cup teams showed up at the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway on July 8 and 9 to test the cars they'll bring
back to race the first weekend in August. They stopped on their
way to the race at Joliet and some may come back the week after
that event. A larger number of teams are scheduled at the Speedway
for that second test.

Aero: This is a link to a page of photos of tires and cars
with comments on some aero features.
The photo below shows some guys on the front straight watching
for cars coming out of Turn 4. In the middle is the substantial
presence of Michael "Fatback" McSwain, crew chief for
Bobby Labonte at Gibbs Racing.

Greg Biffle, being interviewed below, just won his first Cup
race.
Casey Mears also talked to a Speedway PR guy.
Casey and Sterling Marlin talk in the garage. They both race
Winston Cup for Ganassi Racing.
Mark Martin gets into his Roush Ford. Mark looks pretty gimpy
walking around. His back looks painfully curved.
